Asperion Hillside Hotel

Not as advertised - We stayed in room 8. The bed was quite small and uncomfortable, and the room itself was hot. The complimentary water was placed right next to the radiator, making it uncomfortably warm. There were stains on the ceiling around the lamp, one of which appeared to be blood. The toilet seat was partially broken, a floor tile was loose, and there was mould in the bottom corner of the bathroom window.

Beautiful hotel, very friendly and helpful staff member. It was lovely and quiet. Bed was comfortable and exactly what was needed. Breakfast was also delicious and they catered for vegan too.

Service is good and the bar staff are lovely, as well. We didn’t have dinner there, but I have heard good reviews about the food. The rooms are a bit tired and beds are EXTREMELY uncomfortable. To add to that, it was super noisy until midnight so the sleep was totally ruined.

The hotel is tastefully decorated throughout with a cosy and welcoming ambience that makes you feel relaxed the minute you get through the door. The gardens are beautiful and the honesty bar is a nice touch. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive without being overbearing. We stayed here for Valentines day and booked the deluxe room with the four poster bed. It's a lovely spacious room and is exactly as the photos depict. The bed was supremely comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. We couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately we could hear every noise in all rooms surrounding ours. (Room 7) The walls must be paper thin! Hairdryer next door sounded like it was in our room, TV too. Husband had to leave the room at 3am and ask neighbours to keep the noise down as we could hear laughing and talking until the early hours.
