The atmosphere was warm and welcoming...the staff were very professional and keen to please. The accommodation was amazing...a fully furnished apartment...very homely. We had family over for dinner with us on the Saturday evening and the food was excellent. A home from.home...

There was nothing not to like...seriously!

Good food. Reasonable bar prices. Lovely village location. Excellent parking space. Breakfast tray great for early checkouts

Pop music a bit intrusive for the lovely village setting. However this is just a personal preference

Lovely overnight stay , room was lovely and clean , had everything we needed . Hosts and locals very friendly , had a meal in the bar and it was excellent , nothing was too much trouble

A lovely old pub in an idyllic village, and the staff were very nice and helpful.

We had booked a large room which stated “in two parts”: the bedroom part was so narrow it only allowed for a standard double bed but no bedside cabinets or anything else. There was only one chair in the room, no other surface on which to rest a suitcase (or anywhere to sit for the “picknick breakfast”), as the small table and narrow little chest of drawers were both covered with trays (tea-making utensils on one, cold breakfast items the other). The website explained that they did not serve breakfast but omitted to mention that there are no options nearby to have any breakfast. The breakfast items provided were not enjoyable for us (a green apple each, a pre-packed muffin and a pre-packed cracker, plus a small orange juice) but perhaps others like them. The dinner that we had didn’t live up to how it was advertised (“Wholetail Whitby Scampi” without tails…)

Lovely room, pleasant location and had a good meal in the evening. We were cycling the Way of the Roses so great place to stop over. We were able to store the bikes securely.

Overpriced as breakfast wasn’t included. For the price a cooked breakfast should be available.

Was aiming to get a good night's sleep before wedding next day unfortunately extremely noisy with loud microphone in pub below till 11then disco noise didn't stop till about 1am then doors slamming got about 3hours sleep max🫤😫
