Chieftain Hotel

The property was easy to find and access. The car parking was a plus as we were travelling with a rental car. The staff were fabulous and gave us some great recommendations for the rest of our journey.

Good basic hotel. Easy to get to and good walking distance in to town

Room small, especially being 6 feet tall the eves were an issue. Bathroom tired.

Unfortunately there was no breakfast included in my price, I incorrectly assumed at £144 for Bed and Breakfast, that breakfast would be included, Also the decor and furniture and fabric of the hotel and rooms is very dated and needs huge investment to completely upgrade the entire building, The shower in my room is dangerous due to where the water can run to ie through badly seal joints and junctions to live electric cables below, The windows were so small I felt closterphobic the entire time I was in the room, (Room 14), the width of glazing in the window was 2 strips at 5 inches wide , It would have been virtually impossible to escape through this window in a fire if the other accesses were blocked, Also cushions on bed were dirty and did not smell fresh, The TV was pointing towards the floor so it was very difficult to view it easily

For someone of my age not having a lift

Great hotel just a little outside the city centre. We didn't have breakfast included but we did have lunch on he second day (Saturday) and it was amazing (the burgers were to die for). The staff were every welcoming and were even more understanding, when 2 of our group get themselves into a little bother when getting back into the hotel during the later hours on the night (their fault and nothing to do with the hotel). This is highly recommended to anyone looking for a long weekend away in Inverness.

To be fair, not much as the hotel and staff were right up there. If I am honest, I was a little apprehensive before getting to the hotel but after the first night, we all know this was a great choice for our trip away.

Everything went well except the stairs breakfast nice supper was good

Dinner was lovely, especially the Cullen Skink soup !!
