"Peaceful and relaxing"

Nice little place nestled by the lagoon, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Really enjoyed the communal table, food was fresh and delicious. Homemade ginger beer was refreshing after a hot day. Host and staff were very friendly and welcoming.

"Excellent kite surfing location with simple accommodation and great food."

Food was excellent. Kite surfing tuition was really great and the location, particularly of the kite surfing beach and lagoon, was beautiful.

The website and reviews set our expectations very high so we were rather underwhelmed with such a simple room, drain smells when it rained, and a big problem with mosquitoes. The weather wasn’t good which didn’t help as we had to spend more time at the accommodation than planned.

I had an amazing time at the Rascals! The hotel is super nice with a pool in a lush garden right at the lagoon. Everyone of the team is kind and caring. Spent two weeks here for kitesurfing, couldn’t have been any better. The Rascals is connected to the Duotone Pro Centre where they have the latest kite gear and best service you could ever asked for. We went on kite trips every day to the most beautiful spots far away from the crowds and had the best time! The food is also great. Dinner is mostly Italian style and always delicious but doesn’t start until 8:30 pm, which is actually very nice cause before dinner everyone can hang out at the bar for an aperitivo and socialize.

The showers are coldish „daywarm“ and there were some days where I would have liked a hot shower after kiting. But that’s just me, I am always cold, even in Sri Lanka 😅

"Beautiful place with excellent kite surfing instructors"

The resort is beautifully located in a lagoon. It has a nice pool, delicious food and excellent kite instructors. I loved my stay there.

Dinner for me was unfortunately too late at 8.30 pm because I was still recovering from a flu and went to bed early.

Location, food, host / owner Johanna was super helpful and went out of her way to make our trip memorable, staff were great. Make sure to visit Dream spot, mangroves and Gange Wadiya by boat
