Kalamitsi Hotel

Lovely hotel in peaceful grounds. We arrived late and had a lovely meal on the garden terrace. Good choice at breakfast. Manager very helpful. When we couldn’t get a taxi to Stoupa, they kindly gave us a lift.

Quiet, peaceful setting. beautiful views, charming setting among the olive & orange trees. amazing breakfast with variety & ability to try many Greek dishes.

Pillows a bit flat for my taste. Walking to Kardamyli along the road a bit disconcerting but the trade off of being so quiet was worth it.

I loved the perfectly peaceful setting in nature, and the authentic, understated, simple beauty of the hotel itself, built of local stone and wood, in traditional Mani style. The hotel was built and is owned and run by generations of a local family, which is something I value. The landscaping is natural, wild and agricultural, set in an olive grove with views of the mountainside and the sea. Breakfast is exceptional, very fresh, delicious, and prepared with a variety of local products and handmade dishes using the property's garden produce.

Beautiful grounds, access to two beaches, handsome houses, very clean, tasteful furnishings. It’s a beautiful place.

A few small matters: Air conditioner was old, dripped water inside room, and control didn’t work properly. Breakfast felt institutional ((like in a school) and was stressful and crowded. The hotel had a very « retiree » vibe.

Fantastic location, great breakfast and service.

It was so relaxing. In the evenings we watched beautiful birds singing and flitting about in the trees as we enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony. The grounds we also a great place to wander about.

We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return someday! Our room was so spacious and homely. It had a fully equipped kitchenette with a small stove and cutlery, as well as a range of books on the shelf. The balcony is huge and has an incredible view of the beach. It also had a clothesline with pegs which was very useful. Bathroom was clean and modern. The private beach is pure bliss, only a short walk through the olive tree garden to the back of the hotel. Breakfast was beautiful, lots of fresh ingredients from the garden and homemade items. The owners were very warm and accommodating - everything was perfect!
