Very tidy and efficiently run hotel that was perfect for our budget. Our family had a great time here. Prices across the board were very reasonable. Rooms and meals at the restaurant were all offered at fair rates with good quality. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve spent more than two weeks at Ganesh Himal over the past eight years, and it truly feels like a special place in Kathmandu. The location is excellent—right in the heart of Thamel, yet tucked away on a quiet side street, so you get the best of both worlds. The staff has always been incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes a big difference, especially for longer stays. The rooftop terrace is also lovely, offering a beautiful view over Kathmandu. But the real highlight is the inner courtyard—it’s a true oasis, peaceful and full of character. The rooms are nice, simple, and thoughtfully designed. Overall, it’s a place I would happily return to.
