Hotel Avalon

Have stayed here multiple times, one of the best hotels in the Ramstein/Landsuhl area and for the price, the best. We stayed here two nights prior to Space A flight to US, hotel is about as close one can get to Ramstein AFB (within 5km or so). Hotel room large, owners even upgraded us to the largest room, sweet! Plenty of parking, comfortable beds, refridg and wifi excellent. The part I like is that hotel is 200m from Castle (straight up) or roughly a 1.5km run to castle and then another 8km of trails behind the hotels (& more trails if you want to go longer....). Some very nice restaurants in local area (walking distance) and a fun, albeit short, walkplatz zone. Good breakfast for free, nice addition. Both owners (husband and wife) are very nice, affable and great source of information, as required.

Zimmer verwohnt, Teppichläufer war unansehnlich, Frühstück bestand nur aus abgepackter Wurst vom Discounter, Rührei und Würstchen vertrocknet, Aufbackbrötchen, Fernsehprogramm (alle ZDF Programme) waren auf SD und es konnte nicht auf HD umgestellt werden.
