Continental Breakfast was included. There was a good range of food available and you could have something cooked at a reduced price. Lovely to see so much local produce available. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the fact that fresh milk was delivered to my room every morning. Bed was very comfortable , room was warm and cosy. Lovely view of the garden.

My bedroom was a garden room, in an outbuilding dating back to the 12th Century and it was lovely. Only a slight problem was the entrance door to my room tended to stick and it took a bit of pulling and shoving to open and close. Not a major issues. Shower pressure could be a bit low, but there was a plenty of hot water.

Breakfast, dinner & room all good. Particularly liked the small bottle of fresh milk left every morning, outside the room. Decanter of sherry & Cornish cream shortbread biscuits in the room were a nice touch.

Nothing to not like or criticise.

It was nice a quite place Perfect location for what we needed visiting local villages a short drive away Owner Tim and staff were amazing couldn't do enough for you It felt more like staying with family to be honest Food menu was excellent with great quality its a very professional place we had sherry in the decanter in our room waiting and fresh milk delivered to the milk basket outside the door every morning and was also available if required on a nighttime Breakfast is recommend We'll definitely be going again soon To have the winter experience of the open fire

Lovely inn with lots of character. Exceptionally pleasant staff throughout. Nice food (£40-£55 for 3 courses) & great Guinness (£6.40 a pint). We will definitely be back ❤️

Only one MINOR dislike. Room 3 really needs a mirror for titivating purposes, perhaps on the side of the wardrobe or on the inside of the wardrobe door? There’s one in the bathroom but it’s no use for the aforementioned purpose. As I said, very minor point.

Food portions not great. The food itself was average and expensive (fish and chips were poor)

Dinner was fantastic, excellent homemade food. Very friendly staff, comfortable and large bed with comfortable pillows!!

Lovely traditional country pub in a quiet village setting. Enjoyed three courses for evening dinner and a perfect Full English for breakfast .
