Monte Perla Condo at Tamarindo

The condo was on the third floor, which gave us great views of the beach. It was also fairly close to the beach - about a 10 minute walk. It was more expensive than getting a hotel, but with 5 people it was nice to have the space. We would have had to cram into one hotel room or get 2. We also had the added convenience of the full kitchen and laundry.

Someone else mentioned the hike back up hill from town. We got a good workout every day hiking the steep grade on the last stretch. It would not keep me from renting this place again. I had trouble communicating with the property manager. I sent a text and made a call with no response. We took the red eye flight into Liberia and were in Tamarindo at about 0830. I was trying to see if we could check in early or drop bags at the property. I never got a response. To be fair, check in time was 4pm, and the property was ready 10 minutes early.

Condo was very well laid out. Good amount of furniture and amenities - not overly crowded. Walk to beach was relatively easy. There's a hill coming home but it's not too bad. Condo is far enough from main strip to be quite for sleeping but still have easy access. We didn't use our car at all after arriving.

The master bedroom bed was mostly comfortable but the mattress could use an upgrade. There's a pronounced squeak in the springs on one side. Not a big deal - we still slept well but that was the one thing about the condo that was quirky. We would recommend the place without hesitation even with that issue.

The property is well located in a quiet area, but only a short walk to the beach (although the hill is significant!). The view from the balcony is wonderful and the pool is very good. Parking is convenient. The beds were comfortable and the unit was generally clean. The property manager (Vacasa) has a useful app and responded well to questions.

There were a lot of fast moving very tiny ants around, particularly in the bathroom. They were also lots around the pool. A couple of us got a ton of bites while in Tamarindo (and a couple didn’t) that we didn’t know the source of, but the ants were potential suspects. They may be harmless, but something should be done about them, especially in the apartment.

Amazing views. 3 balconies in one unit was awesome huge plus. Kitchen cam with everything you can think of and more. In suite washer dryer was so handy and worked great. Large washrooms. Big closets. Beautifully furnished - new and stylish. Loved it had beach blankets and umbrellas to bring to the beach.

A 10 minute walk from town with little kids (infant and toddler) was tricky but it boasts some amazing views. Check-in instructions were a bit confusing.

There are every single thing that you need to enjoy the place and you feel like at home

master bedroom AC did not work properly. I reported it and yet never showed up to fix it
