Lion and Unicorn Hotel

Where to start about what we liked? Let's start with Fiona and her team that took such wonderful care of us during our stay. We stayed with them for a week, and every member of staff treated us like family. There were tears when we left, and promises to return. The inn itself was just what we wanted. The only pub in town, it is a social hub for the community. We met many of the folks in town, and their dogs. Everyone was welcoming and warm. The food was quite good. Solid pub fare, and the steaks were very nice. Breakfast each morning was perfectly prepared with ss much or as little as you preferred. The Lion & Unicorn was a big part of our holiday, and we will fondly remember it for sure long time.

Great location, great food.

It's an old pub/hotel. If you go expecting new and plush rooms and other modern amenities and things like 8' ceilings and wide hallways, you'll be disappointed. If you love an older place with great character, definitely stay here.
