Sky View Cabin Unawatuna

Nice and cozy place. Hidden in the garden not far from central street. Railway station, frut spot ant tuk-tuk parking are close. The owner and his wife are kind, generous and honest people. And what wonderful breakfasts they serve!!!!! With fruits and local dishes. The owner built this cabins by himself during the coronavirus period, so everything is new and clean. We spent their 3 nights, and can recommend it for longer staying.

Nice little huts, a bit away from the main street. A very nice host. He showed us his work place (maritime Museum) and the Galle fort. Great and rich breakfast.

I guess it is normal that you have some little animals in the house :)

The breakfast option was wide and good. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian option was provided. Complimentary welcome drink(tender coconuts) was given. The host was helpful and welcoming. Would recommend this unique stay!

1. Cozy and Comfortable stay 2. Very friendly and helpful owner. 3. Delicious breakfast, we asked him for vegetarian options and he served us with wrap, sandwiches, bread butter, Mango shake and multiple other things.

Wonderful stay. Beautiful cabins covered in leaves and very friendly and welcoming hosts. There’s no better place to stay in Unawatuna. Also very close to the train stop (and bus stop) so very easy to access. Thanks so much :)

Awesome place. Unique cottage stay, with a nice bed, sky view and balcony on top floor and clean bathroom and a small bed in ground floor. Very good utilisation of space and all necessary items were thoughtfully provided. Excellent vegetarian breakfast provided (best spread I have seen - sandwich, shawarma, beans, fruits, toast, fruit juice, coffee, marmalade, etc). Very warm hosts, were always a call away and provided very sweet king coconut on arrival. I must comment the effort taken by the hosts and if the place is available, do book at the earliest. You will wake up to birds singing and really love the hospitality of the hosts.

Rokshan was a fantastic host. Super friendly and knowledgeable with a beaming smile. Happy to share this knowledge of the area and chat over breakfast. Breakfast was amazing too. Eggs, Spanish omelette, bacon and fresh paw paw and banana, Mango Juice and Passion fruit juice over the 2 days we stayed. If anything they gave us too much:). All prepared by his wife. The accommodation itself is cool. Like a little tree house as you sleep in the attic under the stars at night. Location is super handy for the train station - just a 2 min walk and a short Tuk Tuk ride from both Jungle and unawatuna beaches

Just wow - this little cabin was my favourite stay during the two-week trip across Sri Lanka. The wooden and stone design is charming and unique; the bed is super comfy, and everything was clean and new. The cabin is located close to the beach (a short walk or a tuktuk drive), but in a very quiet neighbourhood, so you can relax and get a proper sleep during the night. The yard is very beautiful with plants and flowers, and the owner is the kindest person ever. I was welcomed with a king coconut, could use the kitchen and washing machine free of charge, the home-made breakfast was scrumptious, and I got some valuable tips on what to see in Unawatuna. So yes - go and book your own little, magic cabin; you will love it, and it will make your stay in Unawatuna special! ☺️
