Landhaus Heidekrug

The staff was excellent and the breakfast very good. The room was spacious and had been uppgraded since our last visit. Overall the hotel is fantastic! Regards Lars with family.

A very nice place, close to a lovely monastery and beautiful Hildesheim in easy reach. Cosy atmosphere and nice breakfast.

Great place to spend the night on our way from Norway to Italy. Hospitality written with a capital ‘H’. Great breakfast and did I mention how nice these people are?😋

The only ‘minus’ was the bathroom/shower. Very hard to keep a comfortable water temperature.

Excellent staff, good breakfast and staff made eggs fresh to order. Room on the side away from the street was normal sized for Europe but with large, comfortable, good quality bed, so for once my feet didn't hang off the end of the bed and we weren't smooched up in the hot weather. Everything was clean, everything worked, and everything looked well maintained. Parking right in front of the building. The location is 2 minute by car from local villages (suburbs, really) and very quiet despite being on a road. Windows in the rooms open and are fitted with insect guards to make sure you get fresh air without getting buzzy things. The hotel itself is full of little nicknacks and nature photography is on all the walls, plus there's an actual little library in the room with the coffee maker on the first floor, so if it rains and you stay in longer than planned, you can keep yourself entertained.

You can hear the other rooms a little bit if they're noisy, and there isn't an elevator so a degree of lugging suitcases up stairs is to be expected. It's Europe so no aircon, but that hardly matters in a country that needs heating 8 months out of the year anyway.
