Beautiful house with a great view and a big garden, the staff was very nice and helpful. Was good to have a restaurant at the house! It is close to Kinsale!

Everything was fantastic

Pleasant setting by the river. Breakfast room thoughtfully presented. Plenty of breakfast choices.

No offer of help with luggage. Room mouldings, pictures, TV, headboard, towel rail all had a layer of dust. Two kettles (one with mouldy water) shoved in cupboard. Only safe place to plug in was the floor, due to length of kettle lead. Carpet grubby. Pervading smell of food as room situated above kitchen vents. Had to ask for cups. No shower gel. Just general lack of personal touches in room. No way would I deem this value for money.

The hotel is a lovely old building in a good location, with very attractive grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the Manager (Shane?) who was especially kind when we had a few problems during our stay. Breakfast was very good.

Our room was extremely hot and despite opening the window and switching on the ceiling fan it remained very warm and we found it difficult to sleep. There was a strong smell of cooking in our room and also the passage outside. There was a wedding party taking place at the hotel during our stay and although this wasn't a problem to us generally, it did affect the serving of our evening meal, which was unfortunate. We also felt that it was not appropriate for us to remain in the bar area after eating, so retired to our room, only to discover the tv wasn't working properly with only two channels available.
