The Ocean View Inn

Charming location, quiet and beautiful scenery. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Restaurant was great. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Not much

It was not at all as it was presented on bookings website. We didn't book it for the price, we thought it was actually on the water and maybe a group of cottages or bungalows. Rather it was run down roadside not tell motel. The rooms were way outdated, the water in the bathroom sink barely trickled out, the floors were dirty, the a/c was extremely noisy, the not so private and cozy veranda was un kept. We didn't want or expect something like the Cheeka Lodge but we sure weren't expecting what we got. The owners have missed a real opportunity to have converted this place in a nostalgic olde Florida stay, rather they boast the " keys oldest, longest held liquor license and cater to the local bar crowd.

Wir hatten eine eigenen kleine Terrasse mit Außendusche und direktem Zugang zum Pool. Das Zimmer war sauber und hatte eine passende Größe. Abends spielte eine Liveband, die sehr gut war. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut!

Der Preis des Essens war doch sehr hoch. Es kamen Gäste mit Booten in die Bar, die dann auch zusammen mit den Hotelgästen den Pool nutzten. Da wurde es dann doch im Pool arg voll.

When you walk out your sliding glass door, you are in for a beautiful tropical path that leads to the pool. Very well maintained landscape beautiful tropical setting.

With slightly old/worn facilities and essentially a side of road motel, cost should have been at least 50% of the $300+ per night price
