Hotel Li Finistreddi

A beautiful facility this. It’s rare that I would find zero to criticise but honestly this place is near perfection. The quality of the rooms and fittings was exemplary. The staff were very well trained, friendly, helpful and most beautifully and appropriately attired. The chefs cooking was traditional to an extent but with some wonderful innovations. He happily served ‘off menu’ for me just for fun. Breakfast is perfection and full a la carte (I only glanced at the menu for the first morning of 5). No need after that. There are 3 super ‘public’ swimming pools offering a choice of solitude, depth and furniture. The spa was stunning and perfectly equipped - the spa attendant was especially helpful and concerned. My room was cleaned and replenished completely during each of my breakfasts Not an inexpensive stay but hard to understand how such quality could be provided cheaper (see my last review at a supposed 5 star on the south of Sardinia for contrast) This Place is an absolute gem. Congratulations to all who manage and work there.

This hotel tops the list of best hotels we ever been in. Actually, it is the personnel -on top of the view, the wonderful pool, the cleanliness- that makes the whole experience unforgettable. Everybody is friendly and calm, serviceminded and happy natured. The breakfast is a la carte but works like a buffet. You can order anything you like, as much as you want. Also coffee as much as you want. You don’t need to run to the pool to secure a bed. The rooms are clean and the bedlinen is crisp. Dinner at the pool is a wonderful experience. The only minus I coud mention is the choice of music. Not always but somethimes it would not fit the tranquile feeling. But it was not a big problem because they change the music right away, the minute you ask. We had such a wonderful week here! Thank you!

Absolutly perfect staff, very nice breakfast (specialty omelette), very delicious dinners (specially deserts). Very nice and quietly pools, charging EV vehicles for free (7 kW), covered parking, hotel°s app for iOS with possibility to order room service

A lot of ants in the room, towels in the room were the worst condition I have ever seen in a 5* hotel, poor wifi with frequent dropouts, beach club in the quality of a 3* hotel.

The room was lovely, we had a gorgeous balcony with a sea view. They call this hotel a retreat and it's certainly feels like that when you arrive. The 3 pools were stunning. We had dinner the first night in the restaurant which was outstanding. Breakfast was also fabulous as it was served at the table and you got fruit, bakery assortment, cheese and meats, any kind of eggs, orange juice, the list goes on. Just fabulous we loved it. Also the staff were lovely and always there to help with recommendations for beaches and restaurants.

There was nothing that I didn't like, it was alll gorgeous.

We really like Paolo! His Wine and food suggestions were great and his welcoming and kind demeanor was so appreciated. He even made sure we tasted the local Bottarga before leaving! We also really enjoyed the pools and spa which had a wonderful setup. The person at the bar and the spa were also very kind ( forgot her name sorry).

Reception people were not helpful. Every question we asked about beaches we were told to “google it”. Thankfully I speak Italian and could google and read the Italian website but for an apparent five star hotel to be told to “book yourself” for a restaurant, receive no restaurant recommendations to explore the island and basically be told to “google” anything we asked them for was really not pleasant. In addition to this they are of course not by the beach( which we knew) but they had told us when we booked in that they had a connection at the beach club and would be happy to book us a seat. Usually at a five star this does not come at an additional cost but it is assumed you will buy food and drinks there and have a seat ( which we did) and if there is a payment they usually would tell you that- this did not happen- at checkout they had added an extra cost for the sunbeds of €50 ( we could have gone to any beach and gotten out own sunbeds for much less). Anyway, the final straw was when I returned home and found that I had travelled with a bag full of ants. Honestly a pretty hotel but not 5 stars at all ( except for Paolo who is great)
