We were booked in Room 11 which was not as described especially the cooking facilities. Owner offered change to Family Room initially at a price but later for free. Large airless room with kitchen. Bright light shining in from adjacent room along with cigarette smoke.

Excellent property. Tina a brilliant host. Would I go back- yes, most certainly👍

What a breath of freshness to come to stay at a hotel (historic) where everything is an antique, rescued, reused, and with soul. Each piece of unique furniture fills each room with a story. Tina (host and owner) is proud of the restoration with National Trust rulings making the process more challenging. Tina, keep doing what you are doing; your hospitality and care were unforgettable. I will be back.

The Star is being restored and has quirky age issues. Not that this bothered me, in fact, it is why I love this place, but it may bother some. It is the classic shared bathroom down the hall arrangement. We forget that an en-suite was a luxury of the past and is now our norm! The rooms are upstairs, which may be a challenge for some!

A beautiful historic hotel with a wonderful room and the best bed in Australia. Best host ever!!!

Lovely old building.

Cold bedroom, heater was so far up the wall that no heat seemed to make it to the floor.

Great building, had it to ourselves so the shared bathroom facilities were not a problem👌

Someone tried to steal our bikes 😡 damaging our bike rack

Nice looking hotel.

On the second day the hot water was non existent and when I was able to finally tracked down a staff member to explain she said shed let the owner know. I checked out a day early as a result of not hearing anything further from the owner as I had requested. I still haven't heard from them will not stay again or recommend as a result.
