I waited outside in the rain for an hour until a neighbor call the person in charge. They asked for a photo copy of my passport, they said it was in case they needed to call the police, then he wanted to take the information of my credit card and make an open voucher as warranty for the room keys, I suggested a cash deposit instad and the receptionist got mad and asked me to leave. He told me this is not my country and i am not going to tell him what to do. He got super close to me invading my personal space (20 cm), so I walked back outside the building, he mentioned a sign outside about the right of admission, he closed the building and left. I called and uber and went to another hotel.

I liked the location. That´s why we chose it. Close to the center of San Jose and to the University of Costa Rica, a place of our interest. We chose it because we could eat nearby at the restaurants in the surroundings. They are very cheap in comparison with the rest of the city.

We arrived after driving all day. We were exhausted and didn´t check the cleanliness of the place since we expected a CLEAN ROOM. In the morning when we woke up and took a shower, we went to make our bed and realized that the sheet linens were disgustingly dirty and with sexual debris stains in the linens from whoever slept there that week. We communicated that to the administrators via WhatsApp and asked them to give us a full refund so we could look for another place to stay, but they didn´t answer and sent us a message with the maid telling us that the only solution was to change our bed linens. We were disgusted with the situation and didn´t pursue anything else. Yes, they changed the linens and cleaned our room, but the experience was more than icky. They wouldn´t dare to lay down on a bed this filthy. RED FLAG. DO NOT STAY HERE.

It's not fare for the price, too noisy cuz the place is located in a busy area almost all the night hearing cars, room extreamly small and poor service. The manager is really annoying and I made a claim for the room and tried to request the refund for the 2nd night and didn't receive assitance until called booking for the solitude.

The place was much bigger and more private than I expected; it was an entire private apartment with a kitchen area, bathroom, living room space, etc. which was incredible for the price.
