THE SUNSET BAY

Die Lage ist top, da wir nur eine Nacht da waren, war es uns wichtig, dass wir kurz vor dem Abflug noch letzte Einkäufe tätigen konnten. Die Princess Street war dafür genau der richtige Ort. Die Zimmer waren gross und sauber. Unserem Wunsch für ein late checkout konnte entsprochen werden.

Das Frühstück ist wirklich nicht erwähnenswert. Die Zusatzkosten für das late checkout sollten bar bezahlt werden. Wir hatten jedoch nicht mehr genügend Bargeld (da kurz vor Abflug), deshalb wollten wir den Betrag mit unserer Debitkarte bezahlen. Das Hotelzimmer haben wir mit der selben Karte ohne Probleme bezahlen können. Aber für die Zusatzkosten schien das nicht möglich zu sein. Völlig unverständlich. Nach langem Hin und Her, konnten wir dann aber doch mit der Karte bezahlen.

Good location for what we wanted to do during our short stay in Cochin.

Ambience, clean, Breakfast, Location was excellent, walkable to most of the main sites. We got a better room after We said no to the first one without natural lighting. All was good, great location and closer to the beachside, Princess street for shopping. All the museums and other shopping places were walkable

Wish there was a lift here. Also, I wish there were more choices for breakfast. There were 2 options only idli or Toast, not many veg restaurants around.

If you come to Kochi, staying in Fort Kochi is a must. Good simple breakfast, most sites are walkable but a Tuk Tuk tour makes more sense due to the heat

The rooms were well equipped with tea making facilities, fan and a/c although the fan was either on very fast or not at all. Bathroom was large with shower screen. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was good. Staff were helpful and kept our bags for us all day. The hotel is situated in a great location near the Chinese fishing nets and Princes Street shops.

The best breakfast! Kind and attentive staff. My room was very new and the bed was the most comfortable that I have had in my India travels. Lots of nice green plants outside on the ground floor. Floor length mirror in my bedroom. Nicely decorated interior of the room. And it was nice and cool!

The ceiling fan was very dirty and wasn't cleaned when I asked. There was also the smell of stagnant water on the ground floor where my room was located.

Hier fühlte ich mich als alleinreisende Frau sehr willkommen. Die gute Seele im Frühstücksraum hat einen großen Beitrag dazu geleistet. Sie war immer freundlich und zugewandt. Das Frühstück war typisch indisch und immer lecker, Früchte und Fruchtsaft gab es jeden Morgen. Kaffee und Tee zur Auswahl. Man kann hier auch seine Wäsche waschen lassen. Über Nacht wird die Unterkunft direkt hinter der Eingangstür bewacht. Ich fühlte mich zu jeder Zeit sicher. Ich bekam einen guten Tipp vom Portier für einen Ausflug in die Backwaters, der dann auch problemlos organisiert wurde. Das Innere des Hotels ist mit Grünpflanzen sehr hübsch anzuschauen. Ich würde jederzeit wieder hier buchen. Übrigens handelt es sich bei dem nahgelegenen Strand eher nicht um einen Badestrand im eigentlichen Sinne, sondern um einen Sandbereich am Wasser.

Der Zimmerservice hätte sich einmal mehr melden können. 😉 Aber auf Nachfrage wurde sofort reagiert!
