"Stunning pub with rooms in beautiful location."

8.0

Breakfast.was superb with a great choice. Probably the best I've ever had in any hotel anywhere. The room was spacious with everything you need. Spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and good storage. There were some thoughtful touches with some books and a very welcome fan to keep the room cool. The staff on the whole were really friendly and helpful. The pub is set in the beautiful village of Snettisham and conveniently located to explore the local area. It's a quiet village thanks to the bypass. There is a large car park at the rear of the pub. The pub provides a separate sitting room for guests with books, information about the area and tea/ coffee making facilities which was a really nice touch. It has a good sized beer garden with another bar but be mindful that it won't be a quiet and relaxing drink in the school holidays as the pub attracts families. The pub itself is stunning with lots of interesting information about the pub and the owner's family. Would highly recommend.

An extraordinary number of staff seem to work there and we constantly met new people which sometimes led to inconsistency in the quality of service. Generally the staff were excellent, warm and friendly particularly Benny who should train some of the younger staff and show them the ropes. We booked a table for food for 7pm but the restaurant was extremely busy and service was slow with long waits between courses. They had also run out of many of the things on the menu. We decided not to order dessert. The only other issue we had was the shower and may have been due to the age of the building. It had good power but the temperature was inconsistent and almost impossible to achieve a happy medium..it was either scalding hot or freezing cold. Thankfully in the high temperatures a cold shower was welcome. Overall this is an excellent pub with good food and accommodation and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
