Yin Shan Hotel

Rooms were relatively clean. Location is very near all the food areas & hiking trails. Very convenient. Staff were friendly. There is complimentary transfer from the hotel to the bus transfer station waiting area to SunMoonLake and other places. I can book the firefly viewing tour with the hotel + sunrise tour as well. It was a nice and convenient feature.

No heater in the rooms. The concierge said there is no air con since it's always cold. Then the concierge said that the heater will only be switched on in winter. But there were heaters switched on in the corridor. Tsk... The toilets in the Alishan area are the type where the toilet paper cannot be flushed down into the toilet bowl without choking it. So the hotel bedroom will stink of faeces and urine once someone uses it. I came back to the hotel after a whole day outside on hikes, then came back and saw that the room was not made, the toilets not cleaned (bin full of used toilet paper not emptied). The concierge said that I had to ask earlier for my room to be cleaned if I wanted it. I was shocked that this hotel thinks that it is ok for the room to stink of faeces till guests leave. So basically, this hotel is ok, except that I have to ask for things to be done when it is supposed to be automatic.

Old, outdated and expensive. No heater or ac in the room. Mold in shower. Furniture are old and well used. Window opens to the hallway, window screen not clean. Bed linens feels cheap has 70’s look to it. It’s comparable to Motel 6 in USA.

plenty of hot water for showers. easy to walk into the forest from the hotel.

very dated hotel. no kettle in room just a thermos. only paper cups to drink from. other guests woke early at about 4.00am to go to a sunrise tour, doors slamming and keys rattling at such a time was disruptive. we were given vouchers to have breakfast at a nearby restaurant. it was a poor experience with the food on offer being low quality and dished out with little care.

早餐是傳統中式的，還不錯!! 地點離阿里山火車站、停車站廣場及很多餐廳都很近，非常方便。以後有機會還是會入住這裡。

Breakfast. Improving quality and number of selections for breakfast would elevate level of satisfaction significantly.

Les personnes à l'accueil étaient très gentilles, très serviables.

Style ancien. L'emplacement est très pratique et c'est ce qui doit sûrement expliquer le prix plutôt élevé. Je ne vois rien d'autre.
