Bayview Hotel

Check in was very smooth and lady in reception was very cheerful and smiling and welcoming. Room was good size clean and overlooking the sea . Coffee and tea making facilities in the room . Bed linen was clean , bed was really comfortable ,bathroom was small size clean and tidy. Breakfast was good enough choice and hot cooked breakfast available from the kitchen. Overall good all round

Beautiful location, friendly staff and very comfortable.

The Dinner was exceptional , with flavours that had to be savoured . Best meal we've had in many years ! The staff were all very professional , and the younger servers were exceptionally polite and attentive.( well done to them ) .

All good no complaints , although a few biscuits by the coffee machine would have been nice .

We asked for a room with a sea view, as before, and paid for it. When we arrived, the toilet dis not work. The second option was on the ground floor, with a faulty patio door, facing the entrance, with wedding guests coming and going, which we refused for obvious reasons. The third choice had no sea view. We paid an exorbitant price for a sub-standard stay. We vf will not be going back again and will inform our friends of poor value for money.

The setting was just spectacular- sat outside in evening sun having dinner and a drink

Location and the ‘Bay’ view and the staff were very friendly and helpful!

I understand that it is an old property and that rooms have to conform as such but our window was very small and we couldn’t own it fully- again aware of health and safety rules…

Lovely staff (esp the night porter) and breakfast- great location and value for money.

Smart TV would be handy

Fabulous location overlooking little harbour and lighthouse island. The restaurant offers the best of local fish and farm produce cooked and presented in ways which would shame many Michelin starred eateries. Staff are lovely but overall atmosphere is a bit dull, particularly the bar, which could do with more of the maritime theme and maybe more lively music.
