The breakfast was always great. The ethos of the hotel is freedom to eat whenever and wherever - we loved it. The whole place was small, quiet and atmospheric. The staff were unbelievably friendly.

The lunch and dinner menu was extensive. Sometimes the chicken kebab and beef stew - the meat was a little tough. It would have been nice to have more fresh salad, instead we resorted to grilled vegetables (which were delicious). Fewer sauces and more fresh grilled fish would be wonderful. And please, cut the tuna and beef carpaccio a little thinner!!

I stayed at the Maji Hotel for 5 nights in January 2023 and it really could not have been better. I would recommend the Maji to anyone going to Diani. The staff was very friendly and helpful, my room was clean and comfortable, and the beach views were breathtaking. I didn't want to leave! I also really enjoyed the food. I had the half-board option and I thought there were good options for breakfast and dinner. There was a lot of variety in the choices and I think you could stay for at least a week (probably more) and order different things for every meal. I was travelling solo and would recommend the Maji to other solo travelers. It was so relaxing and the beach was beautiful - probably the best beach I have been to.

The beach boys selling things on the beach were a bit annoying (especially when walking on the beach), but if you ignore them they generally go away (and obviously they aren't something the hotel can control anyway).

The privacy. The staff, the menu and the Service are exceptional
