La posizione fantastica un po’ sopra a Grindelwald con una fantastica vista sull’Eiger - giardino gradevole dove fare colazione e cenare - camera ampia, tranquilla con balcone comodo e con vista - acqua da rubinetto fresca e buona - posto auto comodo - vicino al centro e a due passi dalla stazione ferroviaria da dove parte il treno per la Kleine Scheidegg / Jungfraudjoch - personale gentile e professionale - ristorante buonissimo

Our stay at Hotel Restaurant Alpina in Grindelwald was absolutely wonderful, and we would return without hesitation! The location is simply unbeatable. Waking up every morning to the breathtaking view of the Eiger right from our room felt like a dream. If you're visiting Grindelwald, this view alone is worth the stay. The hotel is perfectly situated just a short walk from the train station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the Jungfrau region. Shops, restaurants, and the village center are all within easy reach. Our room was simple, but it was comfortable, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and eager to help with any questions or requests. Their kindness added a personal touch that made us feel genuinely welcome. If you're looking for a hotel with an outstanding location, unforgettable mountain views, excellent service, and great value in the heart of Grindelwald, Hotel Restaurant Alpina is an excellent choice. We loved every moment of our stay and would gladly come back again and again. Highly recommended!

The only thing we missed was a minibar, but honestly, the spectacular surroundings more than made up for it.

We had a rear facing room - was reasonable and had a nice large balcony with mountain view. The bathroom has a sliding door which does not seal so sound transfers very easily. The room had two comfortable chairs and a small table. There is no air-conditioning but they provided a fan so it was ok in mid May. Rooms would probably be uncomfortable in middle of summer heat without AC but thats true for most hotels in Switzerland. The hotel is situated only three minutes from the train and bus stations so very convenient but be aware that the road is super steep. Breakfast was limited but good. There is huge Coop at the bus station for when you want to buy economical food.

Someone should remind the lady in the breakfast that they are in the hospitality business - she was pretty short with all guests though we just avoided her and spoke with the boy who was very helpful.

Loved the view from the hotel room. Room was spacious. Hotel staff were friendly.

The slope up to the hotel. Abit difficult to go up the slope with a heavy luggage. 😅 Would be nice to have a vehicle to drive us up with the luggages.
