There wasn’t very much hot water in the shower

I was mesmerized by the charm of this historical building right after my first step going through the doorway. I was there for only a night, but I enjoyed it so much I didn't even left the place to visit the town. The dining hall and the huge lounge area are both unique bonuses.

Our room was huge and comfortable. We had a nice front facing street view, very little street noise. It is a historic hotel, so don't expect modern furnishings or amenities. Good parking. Felt very safe and cozy. Not in the center, but walking distance to town in a few minutes. Even though it said their restaurant was closed and no breakfast served, they did provided some food and drink for breakfast. That was a pleasant surprise. Not to be confused with the nearby Auberge du Lac where you check in. We stayed there once and did not like it. This is much better. They seem to be owned by the same people.

When other rooms used the washroom, the hot water would get cold in the shower, beware! No elevator/lift is something to consider. There are only two levels, but it's a bit high due to tall ceilings.
