Relais Chalons d’Orange

Relais Chalons d’Orange was a fantastic place to stay if you are visiting the Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo. Pescasseroli is right in the middle of the park. Even though we were there in the middle of high tourist season, the area was not packed. It was also a great place to escape the heat of Naples and Rome. Ross and his wife keep the place super clean. The rooms are all well-designed. The breakfast featured locally made products from yogurts to jams to pastries and more. When I mentioned that my husband is celiac, they were able to provide delicious, gluten-free breakfast pastries made in a bakery (not mass-produced). We liked that the property is a short walk into the center of town as we prefer not having to deal with ‘center of town’ parking. Ross is also very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions for places to have dinner, walks to do in the national park, etc. Being cat lovers, we were also entertained by the adorable kittens that live near the property.

We enjoyed everything about our stay and would definitely go back if the occasion arises. Since it is in the mountains, if you are not a fan of driving on switchbacks and mountainous roads, this area may not be for you. The property itself is great and we loved everything about it.

Amazing breakfast and fabulous hosts. The property is beautifully appointed. A home away from home.

The room and property were gorgeous and in a great location right next to town. Staff were absolutely incredible and so accommodating for us - making sure we got breakfast with an early departure outside normal breakfast hours, giving great dinner recommendations, and giving us their contact info for any requests/issues at any time. Highly recommend a stay here!

This is a great property - the owners are very helpful and friendly, the quality of equipment and furnishings are top notch and the location breathtaking - when we come back we will be booking this property
