sofa in sitting area of room was a sofa bed & not that comfortable to sit on, more large cushions on which to sit would help

The location is remote but peaceful.

The property is in need of repair and the rooms are not well looked after. In our room, for example, the toilet seat was broken, which seems a gross oversight. The staff were most unfortunately, the most discourteous and helpful I have ever encountered in any hotel stay.

Sehr schönes Haus mit einem herrlichen Frühstückssaal. Das alles eingebettet in einer atemberaubenden Landschaft. Wie im Film.

Eine Sauna wäre schön gewesen.

I loved revisiting a past trip. Just as good as the previous visit, eight years ago. The room was beautiful looking over the loch, timber lined and generous in size. I ate at the bar each night and had the three best meals I have had in many a day, certainly the whole of my five week trip. Hats off to the chef! My dietaries were accommodated without fuss and every meal was truly a delight. I’m a real foodie and cannot believe the quality. The staff were great all round from the bar staff to the breakfast team. A shout out too, to the New Zealander behind the bar. Really knew her stuff and was very attentive. Highly recommended!

A very small niggle - I would have loved to sit in the sitting room by the fire but it was not stoked and barely alight both times I went in, and staff kept opening the door to the hallway which just meant all the heat disappeared. It didn’t feel welcoming in the evening when it would have been lovely to linger after dinner. And I would have loved a repeat of fireworks on the edge of the loch on 5 November, but appreciated the realities of insurance!

Very nice hotel in a great location on the quiet southern part of the Isle of Skye. Our room was nice and big and comfortable with a view of the water.
