Location. Nothing else as our staying has been spoiled by the unwelcoming and unfriendliness of the hosts

We have been travelling Costa Rica for over a month, been to several places around the country and I have never been so disappointed with a stay in this country. First of all when we arrived, the host which received us (daughter) did not know anything about our reservation so just guessed and tried to direct us to our room. We ended up in a room which is not reflecting the picture on the booking apps. Host totally dismissive. Ignorant and rude. Wanted to show her my booking reservation and make things easier. But she declined and just seemed annoyed. After few minutes. She wrote down my name by guess I imagine as it was misspelled on the door so I just removed it. I then received a message on booking later that night “we are waiting for you”. I already had keys in hand, paid and was eating in restaurant at that moment. On first night people did check in till late, which is totally fine with me. But kitchen next to our room made things more complicated when people having chat till late and also the fact that we are next to restrooms and people trying to open/knock the door at random times during nights. I received several messages on booking regarding my booking and communication was not clear. I can accept people to not be in the best day when we meet, still first impression. But even when we checked out, our “hosts” being in the kitchen, on phones while we tried to tell them we are about to check out and asking if we needed to do anything for make check out easier and their dismissive behaviour and attitude make us confirm what we were thinking. Those people are hosting but are far away from welcoming, friendly and Costa Rican vibes we experienced during our stays in this country. We always book 2 nights and extend if needed. We are still there for few days. We booked somewhere else and will bring our business there. We want a good nice experience before our flight and we are happy we do not leave the country today.

the studio was not perfect, one night is ok, but more I would not go for.

for this price you can't expect miracles. I recommend it for one night because it is close to the airport. It might be difficult for a longer period of time. However, it is cheap and that is a plus

Location was 6 mins from the airport. Room was cozy. Water for showering was hot. Hosts were quick to respond, accommodating to requests, and very friendly.

Room was a little too warm, but not uncomfortable.

Slept good to catch our flight the next day. Fast and easy self check-in and check-out.

Broken window and bed

Location was excellent! Very quiet and located at the end of a cul-de-sac. The owners let us check in early and were very helpful getting us settled in.

Bed was relatively hard making it tough to get a good nights sleep.
