Convenient location

Rooms were upgraded but the rest was dated.

It was in a very convenient location and there was parking outside. The beds were clean and comfortable.

The carpets were grubby. Continental breakfast was included but it was very limited and no breakfast room. We were awaken by other guests talking and laughing at the top of their voices at 3 a.m. and then stayed awake listening to the music bass from another room which stopped as we were getting up.

Easy to find with a pub offering really good food! Beside the reception is a big cold beer and wine store with snacks available as well. Warm welcome from friendly staff. The town was just a stopover for us, but we drove the few blocks to the river where there's a beautiful park--nice after an all-day drive. A very comfortable room with everything you need and no fancy embellishments. We really liked the art, local rural photos on canvas rather than typical generic prints.

I was granted the quiet top floor room I asked floor, but it had only a high narrow window like a horizontal slit, straight out to the ventilation system on the pub roof. Not a problem for a one night stay, but it might have been claustrophobic for longer than that. Kind of an industrial feel to the building with heavy slamming doors, but this probably provides good security.
