Très bel hôtel à l’emplacement idéal non loin de Sofia et de Rila. Personnel très sympathique. Superbe piscine. Très bon restaurant !

Mauvaise odeur dans la salle de bains

The location was great, the staff was pleasant. Breakfast was decent, but not great. Nice swimming pools.

Many reviews already mentioned the lack of a shower curtain in the bathroom, or some kind of separation. The bathroom is tiny. After taking a shower the whole bathroom is completely wet. The room we had was dated. Dirty carpets. The hotel is dated.

Beautiful spot in nature, lovely spa area (but see below).

Overall, this is a lovely spa hotel in a beautiful location, and the spa and sauna area with the indoor pool is nice and well-done. However, my partner and I had a negative experience when we tried to book a massage, which is a key part of what you expect from a spa hotel. At 4 PM, my partner went to the spa reception and asked the man at the desk if it would be possible to book a massage. His response was very odd—he looked confused and said, “for you?” in a tone that felt off. My partner is Black, and I am white; we are also a same-sex couple. It was unclear whether his reaction was due to my partner’s skin color, the fact that we were two men, or both. When we asked again, he simply said no, no massages were available. I asked if it was because it was too late in the day, and then he said, “Oh, you can have a back massage, but that’s it.” I asked about a deep tissue massage, and he replied, “Tomorrow.” The whole interaction was confusing, dismissive, and uncomfortable. We decided to leave without booking because of the perceived hostility. I strongly encourage the hotel to ensure that all guests are treated with respect, regardless of skin color or sexual orientation, and that staff receive clear instructions to avoid situations like this in the future. We had no issues with any other staff, and overall the hotel was very good (although the carpet in our room had a few discolorations/stains).

The pool and the view

Our room was stinky from sewage - for our luck we spent most of the time out in different areas. The shower: low pressure and not always we had hot water, When we told the receptionist about it he told us to wait few more minutes until the hot water will “arrive”… We asked to move to another room but he refused. The Spa is operating by the Spa receptionist who is also the pool lifeguard and he does the massage as well, and he is not so friendly!
