Close (20 mins drive) to some very nice beaches and the towns were not to far. We would leave after breakfast and come back late, then suffer through the night, have filter coffee (bear in mind that if you buy breakfast, you do not pay for normal coffee) and leave again.

The hotel management should decide whether this is a five star hotel, bar, beach rental or motel where anything is charged extra.. Rooms not practical and you hear people (not even hotel guests) in the bar in the evening, children in the morning, chairs dragged in the rooms above.. The first night we listened to screams for hours at dawn, as we were explained 'a couple got into a fight'.. no complementary drinks/sweets whatsoever for this... The receptionist very sweet, but completely uninformed both in terms of things to see and restaurants, meanwhile one of the guys working there is actually from the island.. definitely the worst food experiences throughout the trip the 2 evenings we followed her recommendations. and I guess the target audience coming to this hotel are totally not interested in any sightseeing/activities whatsoever...Also not sure about the working hours, but the reception would closed before midnight for sure and there was no one on duty during the night. Was surprised with all the reviews about cleanliness, since (among others) for a week had to look at bunch of half empty toiletries soaking in a puddle next to a sink, which were also restocked in totally random variations, never organised or thrown away. There was a paper note asking not to throw paper in a toilet - also a first one in a 5 star hotel. Breakfast - zero variety, almost no veggie options, not to mention vegan, and again surprised with all these good reviews as each day we had to struggle with what to order, and whatever you would order would come in a micro portion, one day we asked for a tomato and got 5 half slices :)) Terrible terrible wifi. No gym. Sad dusty garden.
