the staff were amazing and location was great.

the rooms smelt musty, there was no ventilation in the bathroom, so that too always smelt musty. the rooms were not well maintained. so you have peeling paint, stains on the walls, rooms felt dark.

Wasan and the staff are absolutely amazing. We were there during a tropical cyclone so the power went out and there wasn’t much for us to do. They looked after us really well, providing everything we needed including candles to get us through the dark night.

The property does need some maintenance. The outside area was in a pretty bad state even before the cyclone. There was also no backup generator when the power went off. Many other businesses in the area did have power.

excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was filling.

Bathroom was in extremely poor condition and needs urgent updates

Brilliant location, right next to the Raj Bhavan, a lane away from Aurobindo Ashram. Ten min walk from Promenade and possibly all the talked about restaurants in the White Town.

The rooms as typical of any heritage property (at this budget, at such a location) are a tad small for a family in case you want to spend time in the room. Parking is a bit of a issue - but you will somehow find some slot in a nearby by lane in case you are coming in a self drive car.

The only thing about this hotel is location!

Wow where to start for the price you pay this hotel is absolutely not worth it you could have so much nicer elsewhere! The rooms are ok not great, the shower didn’t work properly, the bed mattress was terrible and linen was not washed properly! Morning breakfast a total disgrace! No hygiene what so ever! I did complain at the desk but they couldn’t care less for what I had to say! Wast of time and money!

No cleanliness, bathrooms were dirty , poor in every aspect
