Jungle bar Resto & Cottages

We stayed in the Delux bungalow, which is a tree house with views across the jungle and sea. The views are stunning. The balcony is large with a table and chairs. It was raining heavily while we were there and we could sit comfortably on the balcony watching the views. There are monkeys and red squirrels in the trees close by. The restaurant/bar area is beautifully decorated in a moroccan style. The tapas food and breakfast is very good. As it is quite remote you tend to only get clients staying there or from the neighbouring villas using the bar restaurant area so whilst it has a good vibe it never gets over crowded. It is an easy 15 minute walk to white beach which is a beautiful soft sand beach. The owner is very welcoming.

Not a negative but just to note that it is quite remote. So a very bumpy tuktuk ride or much better to get the boat from port barton to white beach on request and walk. We were able to easily go between port barton and the lodge this way.

The whole place is a paradise. We loved everything: the location, the people, the jungle bar tram, the food, the home made bread, the home made coconut jam, our cottage, all the small details, the restaurant, we felt like home!

For us everything was perfect!!

It was the end of our trip and we couldn’t have been treated better. The place is in the middle of the jungle, so even with all the facilities they offer, you’re still in the wild, things break, and that’s completely understandable. On top of that, after two typhoons had just hit the area, there were guests who didn’t understand the situation and took it out on the staff. The girls there, Gigi (sorry if that’s not how it’s spelled!) and her cousin and Onuyk, were absolutely lovely and charming. They helped us with everything and made our three days truly wonderful. Thank you for being the way you are , don’t ever change. Your happiness gives you a beautiful heart. And they have cold Red Horse 😍
