Konum, temizlik, yiyecekler, personel, plaj hizmetleri, plaj, yani sayılabilecek her şey 5 yıldız idi. Eğimli arazi nedeniyle resepsiyon ve kahvaltı bölümüne ulaşma yorucu olacağından bu mesafeler için golf araçları ile bizi taşıdılar. Her gün gelen küçük hediyeler ve odamızı deniz manzaralı süit odaya hediye olarak yükseltmeleri bizi çok mutlu etti. Tüm otel çalışanları ve işletmeye her şey için çok teşekkür ederiz.

We were delighted on arrival to gave been given an upgrade to a Bungalow with Sea view. The room had obviously recently been renovated and had a bright, modern feel incuding the bathroom and shower area. We also loved the complimetary beach bag and hats on the bed as we entered. All used extensively! ( The other lovely little gifts waiting for us outside the door each day were also a nice touch!) We were very impressed with the breakfast buffet selection - a huge choice to cater for all tastes - the quality was excellent and the views from the restaurant with Turkey just across the water; stunning! We ate at the seafood restaurant on one occasion- a quirky liitle space, with delicious food and amazing service. The pool area is beautifully designed and we spent many enjoyable hours lounging and swimming. There were always plenty of cabanas, and loungers available. I am a great believer that, given the facilities and infrastructure expected from a luxury resort, it lives or dies by the quality of its staff. In this case, Proteas Blu has a long, successful future ahead! The staff were, without exception, fantastic! Friendly, attentive, professional - all of them a credit to the company/resort. Thank you!!

There is very little to criticise - and i add these minor observations without changing my perfect score! The location is ‘interesting’. It’s not much of walk to Pythagorea, and we both enjoy walking, so did it several times, but it has the potential for danger, as there is not a footpath all the way. Also, the location on the hillside makes walking to/from the room/reception/beach a bit of a workout! There are golf carts available should you wish. There is not much shade on the beach or at the pool. Maybe management could come up with something? Lastly, We didnt watch a lot of TV, but would have liked to have kept up with the news on BBC world service. None of the news channels had reception

Positives • Beach & pool: Gorgeous pebble beach with clear water, always some loungers available despite the hotel being full (so in this way I have to disagree with previous reviews, maybe in summer there’s some visitors taking chairs as well in addition to guests) quiet atmosphere without loud music. As guests are mostly 40-60 yo, very laid back. Pool area lively but pleasant. Less chairs available there, this area seems to be more popular. • Breakfast: Excellent with fresh omelettes, pancakes, waffles, good coffee choices (including Freddo cappuccino from the barista machine). Wide variety and tasty. Although as some have noted, not well labeled for people with allergies. • Rooms: Spacious, renovated, modern but simple. Comfortable large bed, sofa, balcony with sea view, enough space to work or relax. • Staff: Extremely friendly and accommodating. Quick to help when asked (e.g., provided kettle when requested). Nice gifts were provided during the stay. • Spa treatments: Massage and pedicure were excellent quality, long and careful, despite being pricey. • Grounds & atmosphere: Beautifully landscaped with plants and banana trees, creating a peaceful setting. • Location value: Around €180/night (what we paid) feels fair compared to other Greek islands with similar facilities. • Accessibility option: Golf cart transport available for guests who cannot manage stairs.

Negatives • Shade at the beach: Umbrellas fixed in place and not adjustable—often leaving loungers in full sun. Likely uncomfortable in July/August. • Food & drink prices: Very expensive compared to local cafés and restaurants (e.g., €6 for a Freddo cappuccino, €17 for a dish with a small portion). Plus: restaurant food was ok quality. Nothing special. • Bathroom design: Shower floods the bathroom due to short glass wall. Poor for a five-star renovation. They could have easily extended the glass wall a bit. • Room details missing: No coffee/tea set, no standard hairdryer (both only provided upon request) no mosquito net for balcony door, no drying rack on balcony. • Balcony use: Too hot in the morning with no shade, fortunately sun turns away quickly. • Air conditioning: Works well but a bit noisy at night. Due to the lack of a mosquito net door, not possible to sleep with the door open instead. • Fitness area: Only cardio machines, no weights or strength equipment—limited for a “gym.” • Transport: No shuttle or bike rentals. Taxi to town €10–12, walking unsafe. A shuttle service would be a big plus as some people have mentioned. • Accessibility: Resort is hilly with many stairs; golf carts help but not ideal for those with mobility issues. • Daily room cleaning: during one week the daily room cleaning was not more than just changing towels & bins, making up the sheets and mopping the floor. Although those were done nicely, i had maybe liked a proper cleaning of bathroom.

Hotel had a very good view, good staff and good breakfast.

The shore was quite narrow and directly exposed to the open sea, so compared to many of the beautiful beaches in Samos, it wasn’t a great experience. The hotel itself was located on a hill, which did offer nice views, but walking and climbing under the sun was difficult. Golf carts were not always available, and relying on them constantly felt restrictive. Because of the steep, hilly layout, it also wasn’t possible to enjoy a simple stroll around the hotel grounds. Overall design and the style of the hotel wasn't appealing. As overall the experience wasn’t satisfactory we had to end our stay earlier.

Fantastic facilities set over an amazing view. The property is on multiple levels as it sits on top of a hill & finishes down by the water. A beautiful infinity pool or a lovely private beach, hard to choose where you want to sit each day. Attentive staff, who go out of their way to assist. A clean and very well maintained property, with good quality amenities. The daily breakfast is a foodies delight, with so many choices it’s hard to choose. Whilst it is very hilly with many many steps, for me this was a great way to get a little exercise.

The bathroom, whilst modern, the shower set up is ordinary as the bathroom floor constantly floods! The two hand basins take up the entire bench, so there is no room at all for toiletries. The distance from Pythagorio should be walkable, but the lack of footpaths (non-existent) makes it challenging-not safe.

Location

The beach isn’t for over 60 years old people even the water is very nice and clean . It is very difficult to go back to your rooms or Bungalow the hill is way too steep . Need to have service to bring people up with your carts .
