Hotel Anastasia

We wanted to stay in a smaller, local hotel rather than the bland, corporate resorts all over the island - this hotel is certainly a hidden gem. It feels authentic, welcoming, friendly and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home here. While appearing a little shy at first, the hosts were so kind to me and my partner - offering us recommendations for places to visit and even offering us a packed lunch to go. The location is perfect - nothing is more than a 10-minute walk away. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and I enjoyed trying to predict what shape the folded towels would be in next! We had a fridge in our room for drinks, a big wardrobe for our clothes and the air-con controls ensured we were never too hot or cold. For the value as well, you can't go wrong here! What really stood out to me was, when we told them our flight home wasn't until the evening, they extended our check-out until later in the afternoon, free of charge. Allowing us to freshen up, charge our phones, pack our bags in comfort without having to rush.

It's likely because we arrived early in the season, but the small hotel bar wasn't open when we were there. It would've been nice to have had a drink in the hotel garden if the option was there. There was a loose socket in the room - it still worked, but I think it's simply as it's an older building, but they might need to get that looked at soon. Finally, and this is only a minor point, but as mentioned, the hosts are a little shy at first - that can come across a little uncertain of you to begin with. My partner is very introverted while I'm very extroverted, so he was far less phased by this than me, but as an openly gay couple in a traditional, older hotel, I was a little worried to begin with. This isn't to be negative because, as I've said, they were very friendly and really went above and beyond, but just for future travellers, I promise you they are as kind as I've said, they might just take a few days to warm up to you.

Úžasný přátelský personál, každý den uklizeno a ustláno. Dům na klidném místě a přitom blízko do centra, blízko k moři i ke starému městu.

Měkké postele. Problém s parkováním. Ale to je v celé oblasti.

Very friendly folks. We had to leave before breakfast to catch a ferry, and they prepared a to go breakfast and had a taxi waiting for us when we came down to check out—over the top service.
