Excellent restaurant for dinner, great breakfast too

an excellent small hotel with a very satisfying restaurant (check opening times). The restaurant staff were efficient and super friendly... a great atmosphere:)....The room was basic and clean. The hotel is easy to find from the highway and i resrved a parking space which is an inset off the street but part of the hotel (street parking with benefits). I noticed a few other shops nearby and a bakery across the road. Check in was simple and friendly. The lady who organised breakfast was super friendly. Continental breakfast has for a long time moved on from a coffee and a bun... the morning meal was ample and fresh.

I didn't really want to leave negative thoughts about such a nice place but maybe it's important to do so. I can't imagine my 3 points are deal breakers and i will stay here again (if they'll have me:)) 1: the wifi was a QR code on a scrap of paper. I couldn't use my laptop and so couldn't complete some work i had planned (or watch Masterchef)... maybe i could have asked downstairs but i didn't want to. if it was a chain or larger concern i may have asked at reception but the family vibe didn't encourage me. 2: i found the automated light on/off in the shower room annoying. 3: number 3 is a minor thing but it happened.. a note stuck to the desk asks guests who book the room for one person to only use one of the twin beds. As they are next to each other to simulate a double... i panicked every time my arm or leg strayed across the divide. I chose a room with a double bed because i want the space. I understand the policy (mostly) but it felt picky for a hotel... yes i know about eco concerns and this is just my own foible. I would happily come here again and i would pay the dividend and sprawl across the bed and spend a longer evening in the relaxing dining room.

Convenient location for us. Exactly what one would expect from a good German guest house - nice clean room; good food, beer, and wine; and excellent service - staff were great.
