Pousada Café da Mata

The setting is just incredible. The ladies who look after the property are so lovely and friendly. Breakfast every morning was delicious - so much choice and such a lovely treat to get straight to your chalet. We are also encouraged to bring the picnic table outside to really enjoy the view. We had requested a cot bed which was of great quality and ready for us when we arrived. The place was super clean and the hammock and relaxing chairs outside were a thoughtful touch.

The ordering of the breakfast is a little bit "fiddly" - maybe a printed card left in the room to complete for your order would be better than WhatsApp. Perhaps a little table lamp on the bedside table would be a nice idea.

The location was perfect, especially for those visiting the national park. The accommodation itself was amazing - truly a special place that was comfortable, clean, and nice to come back to after two days of hiking. It exceeded our expectations in every way and has been thoughtfully built with comfort in mind. The view from the balcony was beautiful, overlooking coffee farms and mountains. The breakfast was delicious and made fresh the same morning. The host and staff were very communicative, helpful, and so kind. We will definitely stay again.
