"maybe OK in summer months but bleak & unwelcoming in December"

Staff member at breakfast was pleasant enough & breakfast basic but OK

call on the way to say hotel & restaurant was closed (I had specifically checked it would be open). Keys in paper bag by door. Hotel dark on arrival, large but very sparse room. Found good dinner a short but very dark walk away.
