Great place to stay! Rooms are very clean and beds were comfy. Had a wonderful morning walk along the steam walkway that goes to downtown. Especially enjoyed our conversation over coffee with the owner. It's a good staging place for several days exploring the black hills, state park, Mount Rushmore, etc. Bonus: didn't cost the overpriced area hotels.

"Exceptional family owned and operated motel"

Room was very clean and spacious. Parking spots are located directly in front of rooms, so very easy with luggage too. Breakfast was exceptionally good too, not your standard continental breakfast. Hard boiled eggs, juice, muffins, fresh fruit and biscuits and gravy leave nothing to be desired. Wally is an absolutely wonderful host, very friendly and easy to talk to. I will certainly visit very soon again.
