Grand View - Megalochori Santorini

The hotel is centrally located and has an amazing view. The staff were friendly and helpful. Did I say, the view was to die for and we never slept better in the room. We had a car so getting to the red sand, black sand beaches was easy and we were super close to Fira and the Airport.

We liked it all.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, nur hätte die Wurst und der Käse, bei einer Woche Aufenthalt, abwechslungsreicher und qualitativ besser sein können. Auch im Obstsalat war immer das gleiche Obst (viele Äpfel, kaum Orangen und Kiwis), obwohl es auf der Insel sehr viel verschiedenes Obst gab. Das Hotel Grand View hat eine traumhaft schöne Lage und kann ich nur empfehlen.

Der Jacuzzi hätte ein bisschen wärmer sein können, da der März echt kühl und stürmisch war. Schlecht war, dass die Klimaanlage nicht funktioniert hat und wir in der ersten Nacht frieren mussten. Das Personal war sehr bemüht, hat uns daraufhin einen Radiator ins Zimmer gestellt und es war gleich etwas wärmer.

Room was small and dark. Bathroom tiny and water leaking even though I reported it nothing was done. Meal times in the small restaurant was awful with no atmosphere as no music in background was deadly.

Beautiful view of the caldera from the pool. Person at reception was very nice and helped us plan our activities.

The shower is the dumbest I've ever seen. The bar it slides up and down on os so close to the wall that it prevents you from being able to point it down. This, it mostly sprays horizontal. And since there is no door or curtain to the shower, it sprays mostly out of the shower and onto the bathroom floor. While the bathroom does have a drain in the floor, it still means the floor is soaked, which is not pleasant of you then need to use the restroom and don't feel like having wet feet again!

The view is certainly grand! Breakfast didn't have a huge choice but was very good.

Pool was very chilly. I think a little solar heat would make it much more pleasant.

Superbe hôtel, le personnel était très sympathique et la vue depuis la chambre vraiment incroyable ! Très bon et copieux petit déjeuner avec pas mal de choix, une belle piscine (pas chauffée je pense) et terrasse pour se prélasser l’après-midi. Les cocktails par le barman étaient très réussis, le restaurant de l’hôtel très bon, même si cher et de petites portions dans l’assiette. Nous avons loué un quad pour nous déplacer (la réception s’est occupée de contacter le loueur et nous avons été livré à l’hôtel). Je recommande ++++ !
