Monocolo Boutique Hotel

Room was nice and comfortable, with everything you might need. The hotel is situated outside the congested old town, along the highway, reasonably near the airport, which made it ideal for a night's stay after our arrival in Kota Kinabalu, just before our hike up Mount Kinabalu the next day. My travel companion arrived earlier than me, and they were able to change the booking name so that they could check in without my presence.

Room had no windows. Pillows were a bit too hard and high.

had a really good stay at Monocolo. The location is great — within a 10-minute drive to Gaya Street, which made getting around super convenient. The room was a good size — spacious enough to comfortably open two 24-inch suitcases. It was really clean and came with all the essentials: a fridge, hairdryer, and a wall-mounted TV. That said, it was still a pleasant stay overall. Would recommend for the convenience and comfort.

The only downside was the noise. I stayed on the second floor, and the middle part of the room could get a bit noisy when people walked past. The sound insulation wasn’t the best.

Had a great 4days 3 nights stay at this hotel..The room was clean and comfy, and it’s near to the centre by taking grab..the beds and pillow are very comfy.. What really made the stay memorable, though, was the amazing service, especially from Deila..She was incredibly helpful, always smiling and friendly, even on the day when the hotel experienced a blackout due to the statewide Sabah power outage.. Deila was very positive, and continued assisting guests with a cheerful attitude..Really appreciate her effort — she definitely made our experience a lot smoother.. Thanks again, Deila!

Room was quite big and spacious. Love it!
