Ty Gwyn Hotel

The room was exceptional, very clean and tidy. The breakfast was excellent with a large choice. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially the young lady on reception in the evening of my arrival, I had had a long motorcycle journey and was rather tired, I was offered a drink from the bar almost straight away which was greatly appreciated.

It was a pity food was not available and that the bar closed at 9:30pm, however I was made aware of this when I made the booking.

I stayed in the cottage annex owned by the hotel behind the main building - booked via booking.com The hotel is nice, but visitors should know it is located immediately on a busy main road. The cottage is accessed from the hotel car park either via a flight of fire escape steps, or a steep narrow stone stair case. Definitely not for anyone not sure of foot.

Frühstück war gut, reichliche Auswahl, Abendessen auch,

weder im Badezimmer noch im Schlafzimmer konnte man das Fenster öffnen, d. h. Lüften war unmöglich, zwischen Zimmertür und Boden klaffte eine große Lücke, zu viele unnötige, Platz versperrende Möbelstücke im Zimmer, es gab keine Möglichkeit zum Duschen, nur eine Badewanne ohne Brause, Haare waschen war nur am Waschbecken möglich, keine ausreichende Haken für die Handtücher, im Restaurant waren die Tische zu eng gestellt, der in der Info angegebene Parkplatz war entlang des Hauses auf offener, verkehrsreicher Straße auf der Fahrbahn,
