Hidden charges, eventually waved as I checked out but parking isn’t free (not clear when booking)

Pokój nie wyglądał jak na zdjęciach, nie było pralni mimo że w przewodniku po hotelu było napisane że jest, ogromny huk z hydrofora w trakcie brania prysznica, było słychać nawet jak sąsiad brał prysznic

The location was good.

My booking was for 26th and 27th May, 2026. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, I immediately asked reception for a fan for the room as we were hit by a wall of heat when entering. The top windows opened by an inch, so offered no breeze..We headed straight out and returned late in the evening to find the fan provided was faulty and smelled of burning when on. We also found the shower head to be broken. This, combined with an incredibly small shower stall (we are both 6 ft and 6ft+ and had to squeeze in, once in you couldn't raise your arms or turn) made the shower unusable too, so no respite was available from the oppressive heat. . The heat in the room was so bad that night that it triggered my asthma, as witnessed by the night reception staff, who did swap the broken fan. We tried opening the curtains to let in cool night air, but the inch opening and with us being above the illuminated hotel sign meant this wasn't possible, there were also no nets, so anyone passing could see in if we left them opened. The following morning, I was told the manager was ' unavailable ', despite being told he was the only person I could speak to thecnight before. I suspect he was not around due to the multiple people in the breakfast room complaining too about the terrible heat in their rooms. The breakfast was inedible. I was told to cancel my booking.com booking as we couldn't stay for the second night. It wasn't safe for me as my breathing was laboured. I explained that I was uncomfortable with this without guarantee of the verbally agreed refund, but was strongly assured this was the only way to proceed and that the receptionist there would accept the cancellation and process it so that I did not pay the full fee, and that Raddison would process the refund the following day, when the manager was available. The following day I received notice that they had charged me the full booking fee. I am still chasing the refund. Overall terrible.
