Villa Papillon

The location is quite accessible to all government offices and the city center. It was only 5 mins drive to restaurants and mart like Super duper. It was quite convenient. And I love the cats there. There are adorable if you are a cat person.

The first impression and encounter with the owner, not the wife but the husband who is an old French man was quite a bad experience. I am not a dog person and worst I have a phobia for dogs and there was a dog which barked at me, not only me, whomever comes at the door. I understand that is for the security. However, I was afraid to go inside and then the owner - husband of Katy told sarcastically with some aggressiveness to me if you are afraid don’t go inside then. Stay here( like i would remain there because of my phobia with dogs like I am the problem). Then he said, That is my dog and I have it for security purpose. That’s exactly how he told me which is not the way to tell a customer who comes first in the morning. I travelled a long journey with a night bus and that was definitely not good to hear for the first thing in the morning. I was quite tired to respond to him so I left him like that. The wife was quite friendly and she showed me the room though she was injured (she told me she fell and hurt her leg the day before). Now coming to the facilities. The AC was not working properly. It was quite old. At night it stopped working and before that quite noisy. There was no hot water available but I didn’t bother to complain coz I don’t want to stress out the lady and I didn’t want to have another stupid argument if that old man was involved plus it was a short stay. The soaps were used before. And the container pump dispenser for liquid soap was not working. It was quite uncomfortable overall. Hope they can fix next time and be polite to their guests no matter who they are and no matter which nationality or appearances.

Tout, Cathy est incroyable, gentille et serviable. Elle donne des conseils pour visiter la ville et bien manger ! On recommande son établissement à 200% Petits plus les pancartes au petit dej ! Incroyable !!

Katy m’a très bien accueilli !! On a bien discuté sur différents sujets et elle est d’une bonne aide pour réserver ou avoir des conseils. La chambre à partager était confortable et très propre, ainsi que de l’eau chaude qui l’est pas toujours le cas partout

Un peu plus loin du centre historique mais cela se fait quand même bien à pied :) Ajouter peut être une lumière par lit pour avoir son espace plus confortable.

Nous avons passé un très bon moment convivial chez Cathy Sa gentillesse et les conversations que nous avons eu à propos de l'histoire de son pays et de ce qu'elle a vécu resteront gravées dans nos mémoires. Au petit soin pour ses pensionnaires La guesthouse est très bien située pour visiter l'essentiel de phnom.pen. Le petit déjeuner au top Pour moi panecake aux fruits tous les jours car trop trop bon N'hésitez pas à y aller vous ferez une belle rencontre .

Villa Papillon ist eine nette Unterkunft für einen kurzen Aufenthalt, leider sind die Zimmer abgewohnt. Eine Renovierung wäre notwendig. Davon abgesehen: alles war sauber, die Besitzerin sehr freundlich, das Frühstück gut.

Kathy is a very welcoming host. She gave me good recommendations to visit Phnom Penh. Her home is well situated, close to the main monuments. It was so easy to enjoy my stay to Phnom Penh at Villa Papillon :) Merci pour tout Kathy 🙏🏼

Owner was bad tempered,no room cleaning,no fridge in room
