"Amazing! "

10.0

This is a real amazing place to stay in saint florent! Even if there isn't a lift so we have to go upstairs with baby by foot ... we love this place for the big garden with a wonderful sea view and a nice swimming pool. We arrive there at last moment but if we reserve we could have the room with terrace that are really nice ! The staff is friendly and let us do a late check out for one hour more than the rules of the hotel . Nice stay for a right price !

"Sea view"

8.0

Friendly welcome on arrival, and nice service from the staff throughout. We were asked if we wanted wifi. The room (with aircon) and outside terrace were clean with a beautiful sea view and pool view. The terrace had a reclining chair, and a table with two chairs. Being on the ground floor it was open to the shared terraced areas, and there was some movement noise from above. I feel the hotel has perhaps seen better days - there were cracked tiles/toilet seat and some weeds growing from the paving. But the hotel has charm. The location I would say is very good, it's just a short walk into town if you're able bodied, so practicable for eating out. The breakfasts were very good - excellent fresh croissants and baguette bread, a choice of fruit juice, lovely fresh coffee and hot milk, fruit salad, cereals, cheese, ham, jams, etc., a local newspaper, and a pleasant lady who ran the breakfast.

"Simple, straight-forward, worth the money and good staff"

8.0

With 3 friends we visited this hotel to play tennis and visit the region. It is a 3 start hotel and as it was start of the season there was no pool ( too cold ) and the restaurant opened the day after we left. What we had were rooms with a pleasant view over the park and the sea. All we needed in the room, a good terrace where we got together in the evening. Breakfast was quite ample and at 9 Euros well worth the money. We were able to use the only tennis court in St. Florent and despite a strange surface ( some sort of cork tiles ) it was adequate for our needs. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, a special mention for Amandine who helped make our stay memorable and also by recommending the excellent restaurant at Hotel Europe in St. Florent. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the centre and it's shops and restaurants, the Tourist office is only 50meters down the road ( where incidentally we were VERY well received ). Don't expect 5 start luxury but if you are in the area it's worth a visit. Simple guarded parking in the park for those arriving by car and a 200 meter walk to the pebble beach.

"Just OK"

6.0

There is nothing particular with this hotel. Clean but very small and noisy rooms, tidy but very hard beds, rooms with tvs but with no international channels, indoor wc+shower with used equipment. The best part is its short distance (5 min by walking) to the village center. You will probably stay here one time.

"Art Deco Gem"

10.0

What a delightful hotel. The location couldn't be lovlier, on a rise surrounded by green with some rooms open directly onto the lawn, and all of it overlooking the sea. The town is a short walk away. The structure is a lovely art deco gem. You could imagine Hercule Poirot checking in any minute. The décor is simple and tasteful and all well in keeping with the style of the hotel. The staff were all very warm and helpful. Breakfast was optional which is fine for me as I never eat much in the morning.

"OK hotel with nice views and garden"

6.0

Saint-Florent is a marina and a summer holliday (beach) town. There are plenthora of different hotels, for all the price ranges. We chose Hotel Bellevue for its proximity to the city centre and relatively ok reviews on TA and booking.com. It was a last minute choice as we decided not to push further on the road. The hotel has a beautiful garden and large parking with great views on the bay. It also boasts a swimming pool, but unfortunately there is no direct access to the beach. Hotel is typical summer hotel, nothing pretentious, actually very simple. Whole hotel has an interesting style (sea theme, like it or not), and its furniture is a bit of 80s style. (And no, it is not old). We got a room on the second floor (Lavande, 95 eur), which was a good sized room and it had 3 windows. Bathroom was very small. Unfortunately there is no balcony, therefore, if you stay more than one day or for a week, go for a main floor with a terrace. Hotel is not well soundproofed "inside" as you can hear everything what people do or talk in neigbouring rooms. On the other hand, we didnt have problem with any noise from the nearby street. All in all it was an enjoyable stay, and i would still recommend it with some reservations. We didnt try the breakfast (9 eur). Free wifi needed registration, but was working flawlessly. To sum it up. If you splash out for a terrace room, it could be an interesting choice to spend a few days or even a week. I would avoid the rooms in the back. But despite plenthora of hotels, this is not a cheap town to stay in, especially in the summer. This hotel is an interesting choice, just dont expect too much. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

"Lovely view"

6.0

A simple hotel which is vastly improved by its situation. Fantastic views from gardens and pool, good access to loads of restaurants nearby - so no need to eat at on-site restaurant which is only average. Breakfast is pretty basic, could easily be improved with better juice and jams. Staff very friendly and helpful. Major problem was noise within hotel caused by other guests at night, it is a small building more consideration from fellow guests would have eased this. There was a wedding party during our stay so no access to pool and bar area for evening - they just take over! Overall a pleasant stay but left tired due to lack of sleep!

"simple hotel"

6.0

This hotel was quite simple with basic accomodation, the beds being the most basic in my opinion. Our A/C tended to go crazy every once in a while, which was tough at night if it decided to heat to 37°C. The breakfast is quite dull and the bar is simply dead :-) Other than that, I didn't have any issues with my stay: the people of the hotel were very friendly and helpful and rooms were quite tidy. If you don't fancy big luxuries, then this hotel will suit you fine. The hotel is at walking distance from basically everything in Saint Florent. We spent some time by the pool, which doesn't really belong to the hotel rather than the restaurant next to the hotel, but you can use it if you're a guest. The restaurant served a very decent meal for cheap price. Basic, but very tasty.

"Keep looking"

2.0

The view is nice, but that's about it. The room was quite small, even by European standards. The breakfast was simply awful. We could not drink the orange juice -- it made OJ from concentrate taste like fresh squeezed. The coffee was brewed and bad. the breakfast was understaffed -- we had to take a basket of croissants from the abandoned table next to us as that was the only source. The "terrace" was like a couple of chairs in front of the trailer at a trailer park.. For the price (95-155) it was not worth it.
