Thekkady Gavi Suites

Hotel was lovely very modern and new. Big shower/bathroom. Very big room.  Comfortable bed. Tea kettle. It would improve if you put mosquito netting on extraction fan in bathroom and on outside door as it is not possible to have cool fresh air coming in without mosquitos. Very central location in town.

Room was quiet at the back but you put mountain view on Booking.com and you could only see the carpark on both sides. Not able to open windows due to mosquitos and not nets.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, the reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stay in Thekkady. This property is great value for money.

I kept receiving some spam system emails that said my reservation may get canceled, it was very confusing. When contacted the property manager, he was quick to confirm our booking. However, whatever system glitch is causing this should be rectified.

Spacious rooms with lots of natural light. Plenty of hot water, ceiling fan and A/C is quiet if you need it. Some of the furniture is well worn but the place is kept very clean so this is not a problem. The food next door at Malabar is fresh and tasty.

If you’re a tourist looking for a jeep safari tour, they are much easier to find and organise from Kumily than here. Not a problem, just an observation.

Had to face online fraud as I got an email in the name of booking.com asking to pay advance. They are still sending me emails.
