Maison d'hôtes Villa Richelieu

Kamer en ontbijt waren goed.

De buurt waar het hotel lag was heel oud vele huizen stonden leeg. Het hotel van binnen was redelijk maar de trappen naar de verdiepingen waren moeilijk begaanbaar. Zal het niet voor de tweede keer boeken.

Locatie. Vlakbij de snelweg en binnenplaats voor het parkeren van je auto en fietsen. Het bad.

Foto’s laten totaal niet de werkelijkheid zien. Alles is oud en het stinkt. We zaten in een grote kamer op zolder met kokosmatten vloerbedekking . Gevaarlijke oude trappen om naar boven te gaan. Nieuwe badkamer met bad, maar met schuin dak boven de wc. En een oude kapotte plant in pot die ze laten staan? Het zwembadje buiten zag er oud en niet schoon uit, dus ook niet door ons gebruikt.

Rather outdated and tired furnishings and fittings. It was, however, in a convenient location.

Schöne, alte Villa, liebevoll renoviert, sauberer Pool

A very quiet location just outside town with easy and secure parking behind closed gates. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The swimming pool would have been fabulous in the hot weather which we did not experience, and adjoining terrace next to communal kitchen would have been useful then. It would be good for summer family visitors but out of season the town has little to offer the tourist, instead being rightly popular seemingly with the many business people presumably visiting the nearby large industrial estates.

The tea and coffee available at all times, plus fridge, microwave etc, were in communal kitchen, not in room as expected from description. Whilst the room was big, clean and comfortable, it felt lacking in the luxury element expected of the chateau description, and experienced previously in our journey at chateau hotels with similar ratings. The breakfast was OK but lacking in quality of products. It was eaten around communal table in communal kitchen, coffee being made and served by pleasant girl who replenished food as needed. Varieties of tea and coffee available was good.
