The Lime Tree Inn

The room was spacious. Bedding was good quality

Bathroom towel rail had not been put on ready for arrival. Bathroom was freezing. We were expecting a good meal in the restaurant after studying their "sample" menus. Only to get Pub grub of not such a good quality. They said they usually are closed in January but decided to open with a very different menu, there was nothing mentioned regarding this on Booking .com Would not have booked this place had I been informed. Management gave me a gift to apologise.

The accommodation was exceptionally comfortable, clean and up-to-date. The renovations apparently took place in 2020 but everything felt new. Room and ensuite were spacious, well appointed and with high quality linen. The hotel is also an inn and it was moderately busy in the evening while we stayed there, but we were not disturbed at all by any sounds from the bar/restaurant. Car park is spacious. Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of dishes. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A small niggle was that the broadband connection in the room wasn't fast enough to stream programmes on the internet TV without occasional delays. But it’s a small niggle - in all important aspects the hotel was excellent.

Probably the location - slightly out of the way

As I need to visit the school, QE, that just 6 mins drive there, and that's why I choose this Inn. They prepared the additional bed for us as we totally 3 persons (family), and all beds are comfortable, nice services, nice room, clean. The food there (dinner and breakfast) are very good, the dinner is what I like most while I was in UK for 7 nights. Marvelous
