Hotel Appartement Roggal

We were two couples skiing in Lech. Roggal was ideal for us, with spacious rooms with sitting area so we could all gather in one room or the other to chat, have some beverages, plan the next day. Recently remodeled, the rooms were very comfortable, but lacking some amenities we've become accustomed to in the US like small refrigerators, and coffee maker. Bathrooms were perfectly fine, new tub/showers, spacious double sink vanity. Our rate included breakfast, which was a buffet style where you could boil your own eggs. If asked, they will fry or scramble eggs for you. Location was great, just a 5 minute walk to the main lift, most restaurants, apres ski bars. Nice ski locker area just off the parking lot with boot warmers that do a great job. Unlike ski areas in the US, there aren't outdoor hot tubs to use for apres ski. At this location, it was indoor in the sauna area, and more like a bathtub with jets like you'd have at home. Wonderful staff, eager to please, ready to serve at any time. Beware, the housekeepers are efficient, if you don't hang out the do don't disturb, they might service your room while you're at breakfast. We will be back.

We spent 5 nights here for skiing and it was my first time in Austria. The hotel was conveniently located at the top of the main road in Lech, so lots of restaurants and the cable cars were only a 5-10minutes walk away. The hotel was very quaint and homely with complimentary sweets/chocolates and typical Austrian decor. The rooms don't have tea/coffee making facilities as standard but we were provided with a kettle and mugs when we asked (we brought our own tea bags and purchased milk!). There was plenty of wardrobe space, the bed comfy and a lovely view from the window. The only thing that let the room down slightly was the lack of 'Do not disturb' signage! On at least 3 occasions we had someone enter our room whilst we were in it - an electrician knocked and then came straight in before I had chance to open the door, the cleaners were in the room when we came back from breakfast and they also came early at around 9 amish when we were still in bed! We got fed up with people bobbing their heads around the door (they did leave pretty sharpish when they realised we were in though!), so we made our own sign and stuck it in the lock which seemed to help! Breakfast was good, and the afternoon snacks were appreciated too. We found the staff friendly and helpful. I would have scored this place higher if the rooms had a 'do not disturb sign' to hang out, had tea/coffee facilities as standard, and also if the jacuzzi bath downstairs was free of charge (you have to pay to use it which was a disappointment). But overall a very pleasant and warm stay, would recommend on the whole.

As part of a motorcycle group we arrived all at the same time.Friendly staff made our arrival easy and we all had our rooms in no time. The area is very beautiful. Room was comfortable and clean. Close access to restaurants.

As part of a family group, we've been travelling to Lech for several years for the past 5 or 6 we've always chosen to stay at the Roggal. This family run hotel offers a really friendly welcome as well as some stunning views of the surrounding mountain region. From a small, hearty and delicious continental breakfast in the morning (which include breads baked that day from a local bakery), to an evening Schnapps sat outside on their terrace (sounds a bit pretentious of me I know but seriously, it's the perfect end to an evening after a big Austrian dinner) , the Roggal provides a relaxing and pleasant experience. The rooms are all quite spacious and clean. This time around I stayed in room number 16 which has a small living area as well as the usual bedroom and bathroom. I genuinely love this place and couldn't recommend it enough to anyone who's looking for a nice Base Camp as they explore the surrounding region.

Room is good size and comfortable with lots of storage space, not posh but nice. Hotel is probably one of the cleanest I have stayed in, everywhere was immaculate. Hotel staff were very friendly, helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. Location is great only a five minute walk to town centre restaurants and lifts, the ski bus stop is 20m from the hotel door. Breakfast was spot on, the omelette's are recommended. I would have no issue booking this hotel again.

We have had a very pleasant stay at hotel Roggal over Christmas. Friendly and helpful personnel, in a typical Austrian alps atmosphere. The location is perfect for skiers. It is close to lifts and ski busses, and also to restaurants and bars.

We had the pleasure of spending a week at Roggal Hotel Pension in late March 2014; i.e. late in the skiing season. Our room was quite spacious; with separate sitting group, a large bathroom and lots of room for all the skiing gear. The hotel offers easy access ski and boot room with direct entrance to the street level. The hotel is located practically in the middle of the town with only a minute to walk to restaurants etc – and of course of more interest when heavy loaded with ski gear; only a two minute walk to the first gondola. The staff of the hotel is very service minded and always helpful and positive. The breakfast will satisfy the most challenging guests  The spa might be a small disappointment but for us it was perfect – with sauna and steam. We highly recommend the Roggal hotel – great experience and also great value for the money!

Service - The owners, the reception, the waiters and the cleaners were all very helpful and attentive to every request. Sleep quality - The beds were very comfortable. Cleanliness - Spotlessly clean. Location - I would say about a 5-7 minutes walk to the lifts. In a very good location, just at the beginning of the main street of Lech. Rooms - We got a very big room for 2 persons with separate area with sofa and TV. Great!!! Breakfast - Good. Fresh eggs, some vegetables and fruit, good bread, cheese and meat. Had much better breakfasts with more variety in other 4 stars hotels in Austria. Spa - The usual - Saunas and relaxation area. I have no Idea why they feel they have to charge 9 euros to use the whirlpool. In my opinion it should be free in a 4 star hotel. Overall the experience was good but nothing special for the price paid.

You may read that this hotel is not in the centre of Lech, which is true, but don’t worry about that – it’s still a fairly short walk from town centre, bus stop and ski lifts. My single room was small, but well finished and equipped. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Staff were helpful, and the place had a pleasant family hotel feel. Nice ski and boot room. The price was pretty good - this is good value for a hotel in (notoriously expensive) Lech.

The room is big enough but decorated a litlle spare. But there was everything you needed. And very quiet. The owners and staff are friendly and helpfull. The breakfast is very good. Also the "Jauze" in the afternoon was good. Homemade sweets or soup. The location is great 5 minutes walk to the main lifts. Restaurants even in 2 minutes.
