Palm Beach Retreat

Short distance to the beach. The cat. The owners were very nice. We will be going back there.

The people were nice and helpful.

The tub was gross. It looked like black mold but it was just old and scraped.

Very dirty full of bugs, no air pictures are a TOTAL lie!!!!!

The room was big and they cleaned it every day when we went out to the beach. There was a fridge, stove and sink.

First few nights we did not have any hot or warm water, later in the day the water would stop completely and we couldn't even brush our teeth. Taking a shower had to be cold which do not work if you have small children. After complaining about it they opened up something and we got some water and was even able to get some lukewarm water if you set the tap just right. The bath can not be used as a bath (dirty and no plug). The air conditioning unit was extremely dirty and had only cold and very cold which meant my whole family got sick after a couple of nights. Switching it off is not an option as the heat can be unbearable and opening a window invited lots of mosquitos. The swimming pool area was also not easily accessible. We had to walk through hallway, down stairs out by front door then around the house to get to the back in order to use it (water is also not very clean). The pool area BBQ is a wood/coal burning BBQ that is rusted, dirty and broken so we were not able to BBQ anything. There was supposed to be a microwave oven at BBQ area which also didn't work and the pool table had all but fallen to pieces, all pool cues were also broken. Inside the room the vent above the gas oven did not work unless you plug out the oven igniter and use that for the vent. Utensils were also very dirty and missed lots of items like bottle opener or bread knife. We had to buy some and left it there for next guests. Description said its close enough to beach to walk. Taking the trails and road there can take you a good 20 minutes, so best to have a car.

The location to the strip of hotels is just across the street. The people are very nice

when we arrived it looked like an abandoned property as there are duck tape X’s on the windows. the water dosn't get warm for the shower. the pool is no accessible. there are dogs and cats at the facility. and it seems to be a residential stay for the family that operates it.
