Food presentation btilliant; artistic yet decent portions

Luxurious bedroom with beautifully appointed ensuite. Good hot shower. Delightful staff and very good food in the restaurant. Great log fires in the bar in the evening. Excellent range of breakfast offerings. Good location for wandering around the town. Would definitely stay here again.

It was lovely to walk I to a warm cosy open fire. The room was lovely and warm . It was lovely to have the tea and coffee in the room too. The breakfast was tasty. The server was a really lovely girl .will definitely be back .centrally located .

It's a shame that the reconstruction of the properties from the fire opposite hasn't progressed any since Decemeber 2024. A bit of an eyesore.

We had 2 rooms , 1 & 4. Room 1 was freezing cold. Which we realised was above and alley way, room 4, the bed is on a slant due to the floor, trying to prop the bed up would help this. Room 4 is very dark and the mirror in the bathroom steams up, so doing make up and getting ready can be challenging. The hotel is quite loud due to the bar being busy, which spills into the street until midnight, some people will like that, but we prefer an early night and a good nights sleep these days.

Th location is excellent for town centre

the room was very dark and cramped
